Re: microphone parabolic

I do not remember the article, and was never able to keep old magazines.

Is there a particular aspect you need help with?

To get same bandwidth as wired telephone system (300 HZ to 3400Hz) you will need a dish 1.3 meters (51.5 inches) in diameter

Re: Looking for a Blue Led display 4-dig. - 7-segment

but i haven't had luck to find something that can drive as many segments as the HT16K33 at higher voltage. That is what the last two posts do. Repeat circuit in first post for each row. Repeat the circuit in second post for each column. making an adapter board to work with the HT16K33 seems like it...

Re: Looking for a Blue Led display 4-dig. - 7-segment

I figured why take chances with the IC. Good thing the transistors are only 25¢ each at Jameco. (you might even have something useable) LED_LoSide.png Board space is the only "bad side". Maybe try one row and one column, then display a digit that uses that position, then a digit that doesn...

Re: Looking for a Blue Led display 4-dig. - 7-segment

One of these for each ROW - LED_HighSide.png Your IC still uses +5V. R Limit is calculated from (higher) supply voltage minus 6.4 (2 LEDs) divided by LED current. Because of multiplexing the LED current may be larger than max continuous LED current. The column outputs of the IC connect LED cathodes ...

Re: Historic off topic...

I think "]" is missing from forum's URL tag. Forum software makes it to html tag "< a href=https:// ...>showing text< /a >" later.((spaces in html tags so they show here))(((unless URL tag is broken, of course)))

Re: Historic off topic...

That URL has nothing to do with subject of thread, nor DSL. Does not look like ad, but is off topic.
He tried to hide it comma.
I say it should be removed.
Mucking up the forum tags just made it easier to spot.

An actual new member making legit comment.
Or
A new spammer making mess of old spam link
Or
fnafgm12 retrying under a new user name?

I REALLY CAN NOT TELL.

it's not hard to find a "rechargeable DMM" they charge through a USB port.
Not the leads, the charging current.

Re: Why you should consider Solar Panel Cooling....

Surprisingly well done.

Net power gain is modest, but should pay for the modification. The big payback is life span of the panels!

Re: Is Nuts and Volts dead ?

. . . and good advice were all free years ago.
Advice is worth what you paid for it.
Free = worthless.
From love, friendship or someone with a reputation (on subject) to protect = priceless.
Paid with cash greater than worthless, less than priceless.

Re: Capacitor

Nothing to do with power factor correction. Why do smart wall switches need a capacitor? Some smart switches come with a capacitor that is installed at the light socket end between the active line and neutral wire. This takes up the small power flow used by the smart switch and prevents it reaching ...

Re: Capacitor

Incandescent light bulbs are resistive. Their power factor is perfect already. Perhaps you saw a capacitor in series with light bulb, to use it on a higher voltage. Or your electrician saw an electrician who knew what he/she was doing put a capacitor across a motor to correct its power factor (motor...
