Tried that myself for cleaning gun parts. I found the DIY approach too expensive because the transducers in small quantity are spendy! $60+. Then you have the joy of matching inductors to the likes of Branson, or Crest units. To repair a 1 gallon unit with blown transducers, would have cost $160, a ...

Contact the radio manufacturer and let them know about the faulty installation. Try a competitive installer for their opinion.
Then there's always grounded aluminum foil!
Good luck! I prefer the older radios over the fancy-dancy new crap anyway!

Your biggest problem is how to get to the gold-if it's molded in plastic it's not available for any of your etchants. Exposed gold on connectors, pcb's, etc can be safely etched (disolved into, then reclaimed) by what is called "KI&I". It is a mixture of Potassium Iodide and Iodine. Re...

There's many concerns about throttling 5-10 kilowatts that the amateur might do well to leave to a pro! (Heat, emergency shut-down, runaway, acceleration limiting, to name a few) Just my 2c.

Keep in mind that bulbs that seem to burn out early, or troublesome lamps, can be a fire hazard.
An electrician would know.
At least keep good batteries in your smoke detectors!
