Re: stepper grid software

If you are or want to run 3 printer motors directly from your parallel port, let me know. I will send schematic and sample program. You can probably make it accept Gerber files.
No charge.

Re: do we need a moderator??

This forum seems to police it’s self quite well. When I posted a topic on hydrogen, I felt like Frankenstein’s monster being chased by an angry mob of villagers with torches and pitch forks.

Ha Ha
I knew you guys were smart.
I’ll bet those quacks Edison, Franklin and Bell wouldn’t have fooled you with their new fangled contraptions.
By the way. Clean up those wood chips from in front of the general store when you are done whittling.

Making hydrogen from water & DC

By applying DC to water you can make a combustible hydrogen-oxygen gas, Browns gas or Hypergas. You can separate the hydrogen and oxygen. The more amps you apply, the more gas you get. To make the water more conductive you need an electrolyte. Baking soda works and is safe but battery acid or alkali...

Re: since somone had a ultrasonic question....

The info you gave on transducer was just what I was looking for. There is info on the web about the Keely dissosiation frequency of aprox. 42800hz that would make a combustable hydrogen-oxygen gas from water using a transducer. That is what I was trying to do but the begining of this page tells me t...

Re: Electrolysis

You can get hydrogen gas and oxygen from electroysis for fuel. Together they are Brown's gas that will burn in a torch without any extra oxygen, or run an engine set up for propane. See OUPower.com for more info.

Re: Visual Basic

QBasic and GW Basic are easy and work plenty fast on computers 500Mhz and faster. I do assembly and visual C++ for Windows but I still use the old free GW Bisic for quickies. I would suggest QBasic because it has help files and supports a mouse and editor. It was free with Windows 3.1. I don't know ...

Re: digital speedometer

I made a digital speedo 20 years ago. It counted pulses from an IR detector pair looking thru a hole in the disk in the speedo head. It uses counters, latches and 7 seg driver. But it used a 555 timer chip to clibrate & latch the output. It worked great but if you calibrate it on a cool morning i...
