Re: Lasers anyone?

Note #3 says: you have to add at least 1000khz signal on the yellow wire for TTL effect. if not, you cannot get the TTL effect 1000Khz is 1Mhz, is this a typo or is the unit not 100Khz as stated? Then again maybe it's just broken. From what I have just recently researched I believe connecting the TT...

samt_32,

Welcome to the Forum!
I don't have an answer for the type of scope that may be required but have you tried adjusting the duty cycle of the 555 circuit?

Re: new challenge..

there are no coax connections on the direct tv You're right Im looking at a new Direct TV receiver box and there are no coax outputs. Those guy's aren't dumb, looks like you will need to order a second receiver in my opinion. Or you could use a RF modulator connected to the composite video output o...

Re: new challenge..

NEW tv's do not have tv output on them.. lots of HDMI and such, but NO coax tv output I'm missing something here. Do you mean coax TV input? Because I've never seen a coax TV output on any TV before. VCRs and cable boxes but not TVs. All TVs including the new ones have a coax Input. You would need ...

is there a way to adjust something for a lil bit higher frequency
Experiment with decreasing the value of the .04 and/or C6

Re: i need help with color organ problem.

but in the notes it says to increase brightness increase resistance of R11
That increases the gain of the filter thus a brighter LED with the same signal input level is all.

Re: i need help with color organ problem.

dac, I've got the original book that schematic came from " The Forrest Mims Circuit Scrapbook" and it is indeed different from your version. Here's the schematic of the high pass filter in my book: The .04uf capacitor is the key! The negative input of the opamp needs to be AC coupled as th...

It will depend on the charging current required and how much the wattage of the cell drops on those cloudy/hazy days.

Re: Newbie:Hello World...trying to configure LED lights

The signal from a receiver headphone jack is low voltage analog and probably will need some amplification to drive the LEDs. A LM386 is practical for the amp part and this could drive several transistors which drive the LEDs. Something like the circuit below. Which can be heavily modified depending ...

Len, I wouldn't call this new or fancy and depends on how much access you have , but when I worked for a sound company years ago we would shoot pull string above the ceiling down long corridors and hallways using a homemade "blow gun". Just a bottle of compressed air and a two or three foo...

Re: electronic dice

Would a PIC be a good candidate? Pic is a good candidate, although I started out in and still use the PICAXE family of micros. These are Pic microchips pre-programmed with the PICAXE bootstrap code. I believe this is the easiest, least expensive and most simple way of getting into micro's. Check ou...
