Hi Ian, I am current programming PICS, all flavors. I started with PicDem2 + ICD2 and that worked out well. The PicDem2 allows programming more then just the 18F's. Now here is the interesting thing.... Assuming you are using the PIC Flash chips, you can program them via a ICD connector right on you...

Are you after custom plastic parts like what an R/C car or mouse uses? By that I mean you don't just need a box you want to design anything out of plastic and have it made? I don't know of any such places but you don't seem interested in project cases but custom plastics. -JPKNHTP Correct, I don't ...

I really do not need a case, that was just an example! I need housings made that are NOT like a case (eg. not a box), but a housing to hold pcb, power etc. also, I need to get a housing made for a custom cat5e/6 end plugs. These would not be one off's, but how many, that depends on the sales! But yo...

Hi all, Something I just learned recently, a transister is not a switch! It's not On and Off. A transister is like a valve. You can adjust the power that goes out from the Emitter based on the power applies to the base! I NEVER KNEW THIS! For example, on my recent project, I had a simple 5mm hi powe...

Re: Source for C language
After several years of inactivity, I want to get back into writing C programs. Who/where is the best source for a system containing both the assembler and compilers for C? Previously, I was using Borland but I don't beleive they are in business anymore. thanks Rodney Hi Rodney, You can use the free...

Re: low voltage pic
Someone here mentioned a while back that they were able to run some PICs below 2v (the rated min that I know of). Out of curiosity, what circuit do you devise so that you will know it's running? Anyone had any luck running a PIC with the internal oscillator below 2v? hi there, When I turn my power ...
