I tried a similar looking Sony site. They sell the manual, remote, cable, and manual. No internal repair parts. Unless they just don't show up under model searches and the replacement part number is different than original part.

DVD Repair
Where can I locate parts for repairing DVD players? The usual VCR/TV places like Matco, Parts Express, and a few others do not list DVD parts. Specifically I am looking for a Sony part, a laser pick-up. Part number SOXA-6062-397-A. Does anyone know of a good parts souce?

By far the easiest way to do this is to obtain a "talking picture frame" and use its guts. Replace the junk speaker with a higher quality "real" speaker and you will be surprised how nice these devices sound. If you insist on building your own Radio Shack sells prewired modules (...
