Re: need a 9v cut off switch, any ideas?
Why not power the circuit from the load side, and 'kick-start' it with a pushbutton when the battery is charged. To make the driver hi-z, just add a transistor, a resistor and invert the comparator output. This should make a stable off condition, the transistor will release the gate when power disap...

Hi, I don't know if this is relevant, but once, many years ago, I designed this type of product based on a chip from Fujitsu, the MB88324AP. I think this is more or less obsolete today, but I found a modern version, and much more advanced, the MB90050 here: http://edevice.fujitsu.com/fj/DATASHEET/e-...

Hi DAVID,
I found this catalog in Thailand. It states that the spep plus needs 10VDC, but no amps. I hope this helped!

Re: Data sheet ULS2003H-883
Hi Dacflyer,
I would suppose that this is a high voltage variant of the ULN2003 chip. Like this ULS2803 version is with the ULN2803, with one driver more (8 vs 7). http://www.allegromicro.com/sf/2801/

Re: GE RR9 Relay Replacement
Hi, I would think a small thermostatic switch and some form of heater/lamp solution is the best here. The thermostat comes on when the ambient temperature is around 32F/ 0C and keeps the temperature inside the relay at this level. If you want to seal the unit hermetically you have to do it under ext...

Hi Shaynes, First of all, I'm no expert on this. I can recall having seen a double horn setup for both horizontal and vertical polarisation. This was a rather long contraption. It might be that your disc setup is for a general reception system. Just an idea :) TOK ;) <small>[ February 17, 2006, 02:2...

Re: Convert 120 VAC to 5 pulsating DC.
Hi m2mike, If it is only the signal you want, you could also use an optocoupler to transfer it galvanicly isolated from the power grid. If you use a normal optocoupler, the output would be halfwave rectified to 60Hz. You would of course need to protect the led in the optocoupler from the reverse vol...

Re: "Perfect" LED current limiting challenge
Hi Al, Yes, this was my concern. I know the PIC's are protected against brownout, but when it happens the functionality of the circuit must be designed for this, both regarding the battery load/ overload and the return to a safe state for the driver electronics, when this happens. I think one of the...

Hi Al,
I think this might be an issue:
4. How to protect the PIC from brownout when cell V drops? I suppose the PIC is powered from the same cell?
