Rotary phone question!
Hi all, I got a rotary phone from a friend, and it works, but I cannot get it to ring. The phone line is spliced to a "standard phone jack" (sorry, forgot RJ number). Now the original part of the phone line has 3 wires. RED YELLOW GREEN The RED and the GREEN are spliced to the 2 wires on t...

Strip Board
Hi all,
I read about the "Stripboards" in the last(?) Nuts&Volts mag (was it an ad?)
They sound really neat, and I want to get some.
BUT
Their site is down....
www.stripboard.com
Does anyone know where I can get some?

oscope question...
Hi all, Well, alittle background. I've been getting a LCD working with my pic18f4520. The LCD uses an 8-bit serial, not quite spi. Ultimately (with other cose samples etc.) I am able to get the bad boy working using bit banging. I'm using CCS's Software Prototyping Board, and I can attach LED's to p...

Hi there,
You can also get EVERYTHING you need from CCS (www.ccsinfo.com), the C compiler, proto boards, Programmers etc.
Microchip also sells protoboards etc., They have a kit that contains the PicDem2 Plus proto board, and a ICD2.

Changing electrical path question
Hi all, Nice day here in Santa Cruz, CA, USA...gentle ocean breeze, sunny! ah!... Now that we are all relaxed... Lets say that I have 10 led's all connecting to a selector switch that turns them on or off... you know, one single input, 10 possible output paths. I'm sure there is such a physical swit...

To insure proper operation of the display connect all the common anode pins together and to the 220 ohm resistor. I thougth that sharing a single res for all the segments could exceed the res value if the segments where not multiplexed. Meaning, if I turn on only 1 segment at a time, the 220res wou...

Okay, I had to get that out of my chest! I remember running from school to our local Radio Shack and using their TRS-80 for hours on end...ah, good times!...good times! Radio shacks in an interesting position, they are neither an "electronics/tech" shop or a "Circuit City-esk" st...

Small LCD/LED screen...
Hi all, I'm trying to locate a LED/LCD screen that is approx 1" x 0.75" in size that I can control with a PIC family of chips. I'd like a small screen to be able to do simple graphics (eg. Fonts) and that has a somewhat good dpi (don't want no chubby graphics)... Any idea's where/what etc?...
