" Now that the contacts on the timer board have eroded away " Any chance that the more exacting semantics would be that the contacts on the "power cycling relay" have eroded away. Any magnetron contol method that I am familiar with be it radar transmitters on downwards through mi...

Re: HEP-722 available equivalent

Way back in the dark ages, even before the onset of RTL technology, one had to build using discrete circuitry. Now there happened to be a product of FENDER which was assigned the name of SIDEMAN. It was a stand alone accompaniment accessory with its capability of producing tempos/ beats of drums, sn...

. Ahhhhh yes, those two different types, and if you are not using them frequently, leaving you always wondering . . . . which is which ? . . . for that next time you run across one of them. Ye olde Safety Capacitors: Class X capacitors are used in “across-the-line” applications where their failure w...

All other electrolytics were tested with a capacitance meter and tested good. Why is it that I think that you STILL have one or more electrolytics with high ESR, in that u...

In accordance as to what drive configuration they were using, check to see that there are not pull up resistors used and that your drive is then outputted on pins on pins 8 and 11 instead of 9 and 10. GREEEEEEEAAAT circuit. . . . as Tony the Tiger would say. . . . Used it ever since the data sheet came out on it back in the 70-80's, and even using the IC forerunners of the LM 317's, before that time frame.. There is a better circuit using two '350's with the second one handling the current aspect...
