555 monoshot load design
I want to give 5V-1ms pulse to a resistive load using 555 monoshot. First I am connecting 33 Ohm, then 68 Ohm and finally 100 Ohm as load. Here is my final schematics....(one using OP AMP and other using BJT). Kindly give me necessary advice on selection between the two ones that is better? Is there...

VSWR Meter dB scale Vs. SWR Scale
In the figure shown below, SWR Meter is using in two different scenarios. First one for SWR measurement and second one for dB measurement. In SWR meter, same needle rolls on two scales simultaneously. There is no any front panel controls to switch between dB and SWR scales. Then how can I confirm th...

CRO DISPLAY on Microwave Testbench
In the Microwave Testbench shown, I am replacing VSWR Meter with another CRO. Then, What would be the waveforms on two CROs ? According to my prediction: CRO at Detector Mount will indicate SQUARE WAVES( AM modulation set on MW source supply) CRO at slotted line will indicate STANDING SINE WAVES tra...

microwave MOD Frequency & DIP Frequency
I have setup one Microwave testbench as shown in figure. Modulation (MOD) frequency knob of Microwave source is been set at mid position. Now the Frequency Meter reads a DIP Frequency of 9.34 GHz. From Reflex Klystron MODE Study it is evident that- for all maximum output power points, the DIP value ...

VSWR Meter measurement
I am using the following steps to measure Low VSWR, 1. Move the probe along the slotted line to get maximum deflection in VSWR meter. 2. Adjust the VSWR meter gain control knob or variable attenuator until the meter indicates 1.0 on normal VSWR scale. 3. Keep all the control knob as it is move the p...
