Re: sequence controller needed
is it possible you can show me a schematic on how to connect 4017 to get 30 - 35 -40 steps, and if possible, is the unused output able to goto the reset? so that i can use only what outputs i need, and tie them ( as needed ) to 3 out puts? 1 for each lamp in the signal head.. i hope i am clear in my...

Re: electronic govener for gas engine
Hmmm, this might not be as easy as i thought, this engin i have has a 90* offset carb, and i see no was to make a air type governer for this engine,, the origional governer was internal,,
i thought that maybe with the servo and a pickup ( hall sensor ) near the flywheel and some kind of simple con...

Re: electronic govener for gas engine
i gives good ideas, but i have no idea how to make this , i was thinking a servo whould do the trick with, a controller to keep rpms fairly steady, even when a load is applied,it whould recover. i just don't have the brains to make such a controller...Hmmm

Re: electronic govener for gas engine
yes, i know a lot about gas engines, but you will not find the air vain controled governers on a horizontal engine, the governers are internal with centrifical weights. the parts are no longer available for this engine, thats why i need a electronic version , i like to have something kind of accurat...

Re: sequence controller needed
555 will not be a exact working for the 4x flashes before the next function, i need exactly 4 flashes , on 1 second each and off 1/2 sec each then the light goes yellow....even if i use the ic's i was told theres no way to daisy chain them , and if i was to have 1-2 unused outputs, then i whould hav...

Re: triac problems..
its not the lights,, the transformers work good if its a slow on / off feature. but if they are fast flashing, the transformers growel heavely then the fuzes blow,,

Re: sequence controller needed
thanx, but i do need the flashing part,, what about a
on
off
on
off etc..programmed into the chip ?
that whould simulate the flashing effect?
if you do use a pic or stamp then i whould only need 3 out puts right? then i whould have the output goto a solid state relay..
what do you think ?

electronic govener for gas engine
i got a old gas engine / generator the govener is non-repairable ( will not regulate properly ) is it possible to make a electronic governer for this engine using a servo ? and maybe the sensor will get info from the rpms or magneto pulse or flywheel magnet? , and i need to be able to adjust it to a...

Re: triac problems..
will this snubber prevent the transformers from bucking? the controller makes this power pack bright / dim / flash etc,
the controller is pretty complex, but basically it sends a signal to the power pack which works the triacs..

Re: triac problems..
hi, the controller is connected to a light controller , it works high current lights fine ( bright / dimming / flashing etc ) but there are other lights that use transformers ( pin spots / ropelights etc ) when these are used , the transformers buck, causing fuse to blow , i am looking for something...

triac problems..
i have a high current power pack, used for controling lights, via a light controller, like used in night clube for stage lighting / its a 4 channel controller, its obviously designed for resistive loads only. because if i use any light with a transformer in it ( canned low voltage spot lights ) they...

sequence controller needed
i am looking for a controller for a traffic light, but not the typical USA sequence, what i need i think requires maybe a e-prom or maybe a stamp. i hope you can follow this,,lol
the controller i want needs to run in a european sequence, ( Austria ) or ( Germany )
austrian sequence goes like thi...
