Well about the rust hole you could just rivet a piece of sheet metal to it like Chris said, but I wouldn't trust glue. well i didn't think it had radioactive stuff in it, it's more like does a magnetron throw off RF when its unplugged, i wasn't really sure about that.

microwave question

Is there any danger in taking apart a microwave oven? besides getting shocked off of a cap or doing something stupid like having it plugged in. I mean more like if i open it up to steal some parts off of it will i get slowly cooked to death or something? it's not some 1950's p.o.s. more like a 1998 ...

well a 240v is going to be more efficient than a 120v model,and 3 phase is even more efficient than 240v. But I have never heard of a 3 phase fridge. Other than that i don't know much about freezers.
