Robert,

I hate to say it, but things are going downhill fast for you. Backup
immediately and unplug from the internet until you get your computer
fixed. Better to be offline for a few days than risk infecting anyone else or
giving the d*mn hackers anymore of your computer.

Be brave.

Hi Ken1,

I'm not sure about paint, but the product discussed in this thread might
be of use. Out of curiosity's sake, what is the pot used in? It's a
nonstandard part, that's for sure.

Bigglez, Way back in the pioneer days (pre Win2K) when I first got on the ole' dialup wagontrain, I used McAfee on my winky dinky e-Machine (98SE). I gave it up after the first year's subscription as it was such a memory/cpu hog that doing anything that required more than a few cycles of cpu power r...

Robert, From the increasingly "bad" sounding descriptions of your problem and your self proclaimed "computer illiteracy" (no shame there, most of us are end users of one thing or another), it seems that you are about at the end of your abilities. I'd recommend making backups of A...

Ok Robert, at least you know how to get to mIRC. Once you shut it off, go to control panel and uninstall it. That will at least prevent it from coming back. The link to AVG comes directly from my version of AVG free. I went back through and followed all the links and it took me to CNET/Download.com....

Hi Bigglez, I use Windows Task Manager for the simple stuff that I know is definitely what I want to deal with. PE gives a lot more info in an easier to read style that lets you quickly and easily determine what's going on. Since Robert couldn't find mIRC to turn it off, I recommended it over Task M...

Robert, Has anyone else been using your computer? mIRC sounds like an IRC chat client. An effective way to see all processes and also shut individual processes off is to use Sysinternal's Process Explorer . I have a computer that has seen the ravages of a young teen, and boy can it be a dog. Using &...

There are YouTube downloaders and also several offline viewers, FLV player to name one. Since you have dialup, one of these downloaders is a must. I have a relative who uses one of these and he loves it. I'll see what he uses and get back to you. Yes Virginia, dialup is still a valid (yet slow) opti...

Robert,

As a reader of new posts, I have been a few of those views. Unfortunately,
I do not have the experience nor expertise to help or offer opinion. I sure
do wish I did, though.

Good luck, and Happy New Year.

Billy Bass is only about 8 - 9 years old. You can find info on him here as
well as a link near the bottom on how to mod him using Linux. That page
has a link to an embedded mod for "him" also.

RFID. The only problem is that the keychain/fob would be locked in the vehicle. Kinda hard to use. Don't forget, the whole idea is to be able to unlock the vehicle without the keys and associated keyholder. If the SETEC still had the keyfob, he would use the key to get in. I like the continuous scan...

Dean, That's fine. I've never heard of cutePDF. Is that from the same company that makes CuteFTP etc.? That's the same comapny that bought out my wife's favorite web design software, Trellix Web. I don't know if PDFedit995 will work with that program. What you could do is use the camera icon in Adob...

Dean, Do you have any conversion utilities or maybe even a .PDF printer driver on your computer? Also, there are several ways to select text / images in Adobe Reader so that you can copy them to the clipboard / paste it into other programs. A rather simple way to do your conversion is to use a .PDF ...
