sorry to harp 0n...BUT I LOOOOVE SATELLITE RADIO.As far as if its worth it...again...you will get a hundred of people that will agree and disagree with me...but I pay approximatly $6.00 a month for SIRIUS (by far my FAVORITE)...and a few cents more for XM...and in my opinion THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY WORT...

And a quick check of both Sirius and XM websites...list exactly what world-wide programming they have....BBC. CBC, PBS, ETC, ETC....This can also be found in the pamphlets that are available at any retailer that sells the product...so I dont quite understand why you cant find programming info.As far...

Its funny, people seem to think that there are so many satellites up there...that they can literlly bump into each other. 1-There arnt nearly as many satellites in orbit that people think there are 2-all satellites are many,many miles away from each other, at their closest, and are locked into orbit...

To be quite honest ....no matter the technical reasons, the reason that jollyrgr gave is the real reason. My good old-fashoned 42 in analogue tv hooked up to digital cable is crisp, clean, with ZERO noise, snow, pixellation, etc...no matter what the weather. Oh....and dont hold youir breath for gove...
