well most PIC's have a built-in eeprom.. Unlike TI's MSP's .. shouldn't be hard to do. Hmmmm Add a serial port or SD card to log power usage over a time period. Add a multicolor segment display to signal over usage. Now that would be neat! _________________ Tony You can look at my projects here www....

VICTORY IS MINE! :D It took some of the most efficient code that I have EVER written... but I now have an OSD that can run on a 16-20 Mhz micro that can output 10 to 15 char per line. I am still working on some small features but for the most part its done. rshayes, I was about to jump on board to y...

The trick might be to use the microprocessor to load an external six bit shift register in parallel. This register is then shifted at a higher clock rate to get the serial video signal. The processor only has to load five bits, since the space between charaters will always be the same, and can be h...

Great stuff. I plan on using a MSP430 (testing it right now with the 449 for debug purposes...will do...

I see your project as... doable. :???: Doable in terms... if you have the necessary hardware that "can be placed over the keys that can communicate to a micro". I dont see this being easy... if starting from scratch. The firmware needed to do this should be standard stuff. However... :smil...

well, i think slapping chips like this on say a "cup holder" would be outrageous let alone illegal... that has to be infringing on some right. I do think there is a way to work RF in parallel with GPS. I would like to see GPS/ RF receiver/transmitter modules and get rid of the RF receiver ...
