Re: Sound Power
interesting project. I'm also boring by the cats and dog barking. I'll try LM12 from national semiconductor, it's a high power high voltage amplifier

Re: Add DC bias to sinusoidal signal
The circuit won't work as your wish. the output will be frozen at 2.5V. You should use "additive circuit". if the internal impendence of signal source is high, use a follower before the additive circuit. LM324 won't work if you want to get 0-5V swing. you can use LMV324, it's low voltage R...

Also introduce me, Mike
Hi all I bet there're more than 20 Mike in this forum, include me. I'm Mike come from Beijing, I have been a electronic fan for more than 20 years. I disassembly a radio reciever when I was 6 years old, that's the most expensive equipment in my home then, you know China is very poor in 1980.
Afte...

Re: webcam to connect microcontroller
There're some camera moduls with built-in jpeg compressing engine and external bus, they are very easy to interface to micorcontroller. Vendors include Agilent, Fujitsu, NEC etc. There're also many OEM in my city.
mike

Re: DSP ADVICE
Only you can answer your questions correctly. But I'm very interested in DSP, both algrothm and hardware designing. I'm using Analog Device's Blackfin to build my digital radio reciever. matlab is enough for software simulation, but hardware and DSP programming is quite a different area. Keep on goi...

Re: Computer as Oscilloscope
cooledit pro can be use as an oscillscope. You can watch, edit and do spectrum analysis with it. The signal bandwidth was limited by the sound card. Most audio codec chips has a digital low pass filter with stop frequency of 20-25k Hz. The acceptable signal level should be limited in 1Vp-p for most ...
