Re: Dynamo- radios

Well I got my radio yesterday. Oh what a let down. Size of radio 5"x8" tiny. Digital display and the dynamo crank wouldn't work at all. Seller won't refund but will replace with another cheap piece of Chinese junk.

Dynamo- radios

I'm lucky to have a Rural Electric Coop as my electrical company.
Dependability is a dirty word.
Have been observing on e-bay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... Track=true
Curious if anyone has experience with this or other Dynamo type radios?

Re: Atomic Time

I purchased from WalMart an Atomic Casio Wrist Watch. I can press one function and it shows the time when it received signal broadcast. Most days it is 5:03am. There has been a few days when the time was 4:03am & 3:03am. If watch is left in a dead spot inside house receiving indicator will displ...

Re: satellite radios

I have had my XM Radio (Boom Box) for over a year now. I got it manly for Talk Shows. The local talk station is ran by automation no-one on duty and may go off for hours or some other techinical problem. I enjoy listening to Bruce Williams and without XM it would be impossible.

I have a pet peeve with clocks having the correct time. Already have a Atomic Alarm Clock. While at WalMart noticed they had Casio Brand Atomic wristwatches. I purchased the G-Shock model ($73.00) which is supposed to endure rough handling and Solar charged battery. On a side note I found my DISH TV...

Re: EMF from electric blanket?

Back about 35 years ago when my grandparent's electric blanket would quit operating. My grandpa would wait until it got dark in the bedroom. Spread the blanket out on top of the bed with it turned on. Then he would start looking for electrical arcs while moving the wires and connections. When he fou...

Re: Popular Electronics Magazine

What magazine currently in publication that deals with electronic repair/technology would you recommend for a person who only has a eletrician background? I have looked at Nuts & Volts and it seems a little over whelming for this laymen. Did I make a hasty opinon?

Re: TV Signal Amplifier

Hello Mr. ED My neighbors either have cable, satellite or rabbit ears for their viewing pleasures. So there is nothing to compare with. Amplifier is RS 15-1108. In the opposite direction antenna is pointed. There is a FM (102.9) radio station tower within 0.75 miles of me . The FM trap is a must. Sta...
