car radio extended faceplate

how would you guys google up an extension faceplate for a car stereo? I have a '79 VW SuperBeetle that doesn't have the depth to accomodate an am/fm/cd radio, and I know they used to make a faceplate that extended the radio out about 1" or 1 1/2".. just can't figure how to look up one? tha...

ran microsoft anti-malware and MALWARE, nothing showed up.. microsoft link above didn't give the correct trouble shooting info, what they said to look for didn't exist?

my computer will not attach a page for emailing, or send a scanned page, it says there is no email program on my computer.. I have outlook, it says to make .eml association.. I go to file association, there is no .eml listed?

ok, so I ordered this HDMI to RCA adaptor.. got it today, took a set of audio RCA cables, cut them in half, soldered spkr+ to the hot lead on the RCA.. did this on 4 of them ... now, plugged them into the JBL Surround.. hit Test, and the tones went around the room perfect.. but................ back ...

i am guessing the tv does not have RCA outputs either... not cheap but this might work.. I cannot for the life of me remember how he cleaned the plates, but man, when he got done, they looked brand new.. putty knife? one of these days, or nights, it'll come back to me..

dad used to empty lead acid batteries when they went bad. rinse them out, then cut carefully along the ridge around the top and remove the top portion with the plates hanging.. he'd clean the plates real good, clean out the case, then use some sort of silicon glue he got at Nellis AFB to put the top...

I've been using them on my acid batteries (jeep, trailer, tractor, VW, etc) and they seem to work much better than the older regulated straight shot charger..
