Re: Electric scooter

Sure thing, jwax. Once I had a schematic, even if it is quite ruff, no problem at all in checking out and repairing the circuit. Up and going in very little time. The parts and components on the board are very common. Had to use the Net on a couple of weird numbers, but found them with very little e...

Re: Electric scooter

Thanks guys, but I just went ahead and drew up my own schematic. Took a few hours, but got it. Fairly straightforward PWM control circuit. Couple of twists and unique circuits, but very easy to follow. Anybody get in a bind, give me a call. I now have a schematic of the control board.

Re: Electric scooter

HP, yes I did look at it for quite awhile. I did not find any schematics or circuit descriptions. If I missed them somehow, I would appreciate you sending me back there again.

Re: Electric scooter

Thanks, jwax, however I have already looked at several of these type of sites. What they are about is maintenance, keeping the battery charged, keeping nut and bolts tight, etc. What I am looking for is some information on circuitry, schematics, etc. --- Thanks

Electric scooter

My granddaughter received as a gift a Scoot-N-Go. She only used it about 3 or 4 times, and it quit. I did some checking, and found that water had gotten into the control board. It looks bad with heavy corrosion and defective runs.<p>Is there someplace where a schematic is available for these? Can a ...

Re: LCD screen, how versatile????

Thanks to both of you for your thoughts. I am looking for a dot of light, not graphics. The size of the dot would work to indicate intensity, if it can not easily be done with modulating an LCD “Z” axis. I have done some looking at the various LCDs available, but none have caught my eye yet. - - The...

LCD screen, how versatile????

Thinking about building a project where I need a readout that will give me X,Y,Z information, nothing more than a monitor screen, with moving spots of light. Needs to be portable and small, working off of relatively simple inputs. Question; Can any of the LCD screens that are advertised on the surpl...

Re: Metal detecting

Thanks for all the help, guys. Just thought I would let you know what direction I finally decided to go. I am using a small coil around a 1 ¼ inch D. plastic pipe. The coil is the tank circuit of an LC oscillator. I then measure the amplitude of the oscillations. It is quite simple to measure this, ...

Re: P.C.Board design

Thanks for the return, Mike. I have a very limited knowledge of these methods. I have read some, but never tried them. I have been using tape and flow pens, but now working on a project that will need several of the same board. I would appreciate if you could point me in a good starting direction. T...

P.C.Board design

There are some adds in the N&V magazine for PC board layout software, and ordering small quantities. Which one have you used, and how did it go? Did the free software download OK, and how about learning to use it? Were you satisfied with the end product? Thanks for any information or suggestions...
