Dean, PolyPaks and Lafayette are 2 names from my formative youth. Didn't the PolyPaks turn into JimPaks? Might have been a different company. Ah, for the days when Electronics Stores actually sold electronics and were staffed by people who knew what they were talking about, not the end user kiddies ...

Al, go to the MCM Electronics website, scroll to the bottom and click on Site map, then scroll down to the catalog 52 section and click on section 07 (A/V service products). The ensuing PDF has a measuring guide (near the end) for belts AND pinch roller rubbers, etc. To use these, print them out at ...

From the links provided by dacflyer, you have CDI ignition on your ATV. A quick search shows up this on Wikipedia. At the bottom is a link to a schematic for a CDI ignition system. There are also many different replacement units for sale. Years ago I bought an electronic system for my Briggs and Str...

I double clicked on it when it came up and all was visible. Looks like #3 and #4 are the main items of interest. Could be either, though I wo...

Al, In order to read the takeup wheel, you would need an optical sensor to look through the window on top of the tape; access to the takeup side is not possible from the front of the cassette, even with the tape cover open. What's wrong with rewinding and fast forwarding and noting the time? (Other ...

Ron, Yes! It definitely works in VB4. Just needed to add one more IF/THEN statement: IF test1 = 0 THEN test5 = 12 This allows the clock to chime when it is 12 midnight (0:00:00). Now to move the main loop out of the timer as it stalls the clock until it finishes. Of course, it could remain there if ...
