Current limiting power supply for steppers?
Is there any reason a current limiting power supply cannot be used to drive a stepper motor at a higher than rated voltage (assuming the same number of cols are being powered on for all steps).<p>Grant

It was easy enough to bend up the V+ pin on the TL071 and connect it to the Vout. What a difference! It is now working fine, as far as varying the voltage. <p>I haven't checked the current limiting but the 'current limit on led' seems to make much more sense, so it is very likely fine.
