talk about them regulators..lol i had a 78 dodge van and the regulator failed making all the guages read backwards... oil got lower as pressure went up / full tank of gas read empty / water was in the red when cold,,etc... blew my mind at 1st.. the regulator was 7.00 to replace...had 3 contacts i be...

hey ed...nice to see you again...still waiting for the rest of them high voltage caps. :)
also...i replaced all the caps i could fine..found out the vert chip was actually flakey.even tho it was new... i replaced it a 2nd time and all is fine now...thank friend !

heres some more... is it possible that the vertical amp could be causing the foldover?
i have replaced every cap in the area of this ic...what gives,, never had a tv kick my butt like this before,,,<p>also, is there a tv repair forum thats free? or are they all pay sites?

tv repair question

i got a panasonic tv here kicking my butt,, its something simple but i cannot find the bad cap...<p>tv is a model ct-27sir or s1r?<p>anway... i got severe foldover at top of screen.. replaced a few suspect caps,, still no good... anyone know which one it is? usually older set had a low Uf and a high...

i do not know... it goes so fast you cannot get a bead on it,,lol... and its very random too,,you cannot see a 123 order...they zip left to right so fast its almost impossible... but it still looks cool... i have red / yellow / green / blue
leds,, its awsome... :)

hey ed,,the motors are small cd spindle motors and only have a 1" mirror glued to them,,and they are in the low low microamps..they typically ran off of 12volts,, it seems once before i seen a speed adjust on a tape player motor once...and it had a small 2 transistor / 1 pot set up...but i cann...

the binary clock looks simple enough..whould be great if i could find a foil pattern or a premade circuit board,,,just add my own parts,,found a kit,, but they want over 50,00 for it.. BAH !

no vice... i have worked on a few electromechanical car clocks.. like the ones in VW's etc... the contact points whould wear out...which kicked a mechanical wind up...after a min or so it whould wind down,, then repeat... well the points were non-fixable... so i have adapted a 555 to energise the wi...

i have a few small dc hobby motors 3-6 volts...i am looking for a simple... one pot and 1-2 transistor speed control<p>i am wanting to use this.in this way...<p>i have a 4017...want to use the outputs..to give the motor 10 different speeds...each speed will be preset by the pot...output from each sp...

how hard or simple whould it be to build a binary clock,,,is there any schematics available? binary clocks have caught my interest...<p>also seen a clock once...it had digital display...with 60 leds in a circle...one by one they lit up..then after 60 sec,, they went out one by one...anyoe seen such ...
