Re: LED tail light bulbs

well, I thought the LED bulb would have been easier, but I may have to resort to this.. it sounds good, a little bit of ingenuity, and hopefull that the bulbs don't just burn out anytime soon.. the original light set that I had on my trailor had the bulbs mounted in a plastic bubble... not being fam...

I just want to use a sealed unit that won't explode everytime I accidentally back my boat trailor in...

telephone line speaker

looking for a circuit that will hook to the telephone line in order to run through an amp into some small wall speakers. In the conference room, people at the back of the room cannot hear the speakerphone at the front, so they would like a set of speakers in the rear of the room... no need for addit...

Re: Hooking up two phones

come to think of it.. after I posted that last reply I remembered the little blue box intercom's that we used to put in.. they replaced the old relay type and furnished a tone dial-up signalling.. seems they were made by melco, sanbar, ITT, etc.. if you happen into an old store, garage, or whatever ...

Re: DSS Dish

I just went through this with a neighbor, the lnb on that dish is configured completely different, the mount or tongue for the LNB is totally different, the LNB is a polarized unit so it can't be used for the Direct/DishNet satelites, and the parabolics for the dish itself would require quite a bit ...

Re: Hooking up two phones

here's where a good friend working for the phone company would come in handy... all you need is an old 1A2 Key System power supply... it has talk battery and signal battery on it.. then a simple 10vac buzzer will suffice for signalling. almost all of the old auto repair stations used the 1A2 (and mo...

Re: Cordless Phone Linear

yes they will notice the slight modification to your power output.. not because your getting your 5 miles of service without paying for it, but because you'll be walking all over someone elses legal signal... and that will eventually lead to a complaint, which WILL bring the FCC cruising down your s...

Re: Why doesn't French phone ring in the US?

with any luck, your local phone company will have a ring test unit.. you can plug your phone in and test the ring cycle of the ringer... different ring cycles (20, 30, 40, 50, 66, etc) were used for party lines, the phone company put out a 20hz ring signal to one party and a different ring cycle to ...

Re: DSS Dish

no... I don't think you can use the old one because its polarized if I'm not mistaken... unless you want to try to get into government satelites.. the newer dish (satelite) like DishNet and Direct are a complete different downconverter.
