i see a lot on wall warts...<p>DC wall warts they indicate current in MA. or Amps<p>in AC i see they indicate current in VA<p>why is the ratings different and is there a way i can cross reference the 2?<p>VA to MA. or vice versa?<p>thanx

the inverter i have is the 65 watt type from LOA and the inverter is a HOME CHEAPO brand. 400 watts the light last just over a few weeks before it quits.. just before it quits the light would flicker 2-3 times before coming on,,,all in a split second then once lit it would work fine then a few days ...

my old lamp still has the magnetic core and coil type ballast..
it uses a 22watt also and a starter..they hardly ever fail...just the bulb over time..

either that or your power supply is not as strong as you need... try a beefier supply and see if that helps...to me it seems like your unit is starving for more power...

oh and as for your power transformer blast...had that one too and i also got another big switch opening with multiple arcs...<p>heres the story on the transformer fire you seen<p>A power arc to ground on the Low Voltage side of this substation creates an arcing fault that behaves like an uncontrolla...
