Choosing a fuse size

Nope, no more political stuff :D . I'm trying to figure out the correct fuse size for an amplifier I just finished. After having a nice fireworks display last week when some tantalums blew up (last time I use those!), I decided I need a fuse before something expensive blows up - like my speakers or ...

Re: Why Google Knows All

If you search for any of those except "turbo charger" that picture is near the top. The reason is because of the name of the picture being turbocharger.jpg.

That's not a googlebomb like the "failure" thing was, thats just the name of the picture.

Re: Why Google Knows All

All I'm going to say is I apologize for anybody I offended. I sure didn't mean to offend anybody, simply share something that I found to be funny. I think Chris pretty much explans this all for me. I've seen posts linking to games, videos and more that have nothing, or very little to do with electro...

Re: Come on, how much geek can a cook be ?

I seriously thought this was real...in fact today I happened to be in some store and ran across a bunch of george foreman grills. You wouldn't believe how serious i am when i say I almost asked the cashier if they carry it. That is, until I added it to my cart on thinkgeek, now i'm glad i didnt make...

Re: Simple high audio amp

Those amplifiers hacklesup mentioned are very nice, Class D is great. But since he wants simple, high power, the only way to go is with either Texas Instruments OPA541 or 549 chips or National Semiconductors LM3975 or LM3886 chips. My personal reccomendation is either of the National Semiconductors ...

Re: Schematic software

I'm suprised it doesn't work on your new computer. Theres no excuse for a program that expensive and popular to not support new O/S's. I'd definately contact Protel and ask them whats going on. I'm sure they can tell you how to fix it, rather than wasting more money or going to the more basic system...

Re: CD burn

I'm really suprised at your problem. my 52X drive is REALLY cheap - its a 52x burner/16x dvdrom combo and it was 20 bucks on sale. I believe it's made by Mad Dog Multimedia or something. Thats in my old 1.3ghz athlon system. My DVD burner is an older Lite-ON and my good CD-R drive is a TDK 32X drive...

Re: CD burn

Burning audio CDs in compters using data cd-r discs works, burning audio CDs in standalone burners using data cd-r doesn't. Playback isn't affected though. And I've heard (but don't own a standalone burner), that there is a simple program that will burn somehting into a data cdr to make it appear as...

Are you looking for an RF modulator? Many places sell them. I'm almost completely sure RadioShack sells them still.

Just search for RF Modulator, you should find something.

Re: Price rebates

John, I've got a LOT of experience with poor rebate service, and in at least 90% of the time I am able to get my money. The first step to do is to call the 800 or 888, or, if the only number is a toll, you may have to call it. In most cases, such as with OfficeMax, they will not send the rebate, but...
