Re: Need Information on Frontier/NetGear B90-755044-15

yea, I usually do the reset through telnet, if you do it through web interface, you'll notice that it keeps the IP addresses and everything and doesnt truely reset it like as if you turned it off and back on again, but telnet method does reset everything remotely. Also the button, it could be a butt...

I took a look at the model of the router, and it seems to run linux, so if you cant reboot it remotely from the control panel page (http://192.168.1.1), or you may be able to just telnet into it and reboot it that way. I use the second option on my router from time to time.

lol, I tend to agree with you on that one, I usually use eset or ms security essentials on our computers, but I usually set up the time that it updates, so maybe check that also. Most are set up to be started at midnight tho or around that time.

Re: Why does my PC wake (me) up at 6AM every morning

call the ghostbusters. Other than that, it may be a piece of spyware/malware that is trying to phone home, I'd try using malwarebytes to scan the system, and do a good virus scan on your system, and remove anything that is in there. That may fix it. If that doesnt help, try checking the logs in your...

system idle process, it's just there to give the user/system a view over the full 100% of the cpu usage, if you dont really have anything running, what is left gets dumpped into system idle process. It's useful sometimes because of all of the other processes taking up a bit, and it's a bit scattered...

Re: gATEWAY p/n 5000376 terminator card, what is it?

the PC you have has rambus memory in it, but the thing with rambus memory, it has to be put into pairs, hence two memory sticks, and two blank ones. If there isnt any memory to put into the extra slots, there's what looks like a blank memory stick, which just more or less connects everything togethe...

Re: laptop question.. Fujitsu N-series

easiest way that I can think of, and that usually works for me is to use directx diagnostics. goto start/run, then enter "dxdiag", without quotes. Or start menu and search for "dxdiag", without quotes on systems with windows vista/7/8. A message will pop up and ask something abou...

Re: Microsoft OFFICE upgrade problem

you may need to find your original office 2003 disk to find the cab file, or the 2007 copy is messed up somehow if the original 2003 disk doesnt help. I personally use openoffice, it's free, and opens pretty much everything that ms office does and more, and is more or less the same exact thing, with...

there's a store around here that sells stuff like that called tractor supply. most stores that handle feed, lawn mowers, and that kind of stuff should have one towards the back of the store.

I dont use outlook, but Ive heard of people having this issue, try looking for a BCC option in outlook and in gmail's settings. Here's a post from 2009 to show people talking about it, but gmail seems to have this issue from time to time.

Re: VR2- Electric Wheelchair Controller

If you could find out the protocol used, you can use bluetooth, wifi, xbee, or simple rf pair and an arduino to control it wirelessly, just need to figure out the type of communication protocol it uses first.

Re: WIN8 and Microsoft Outlook 2007

I usually end up talking to alot of people about it because Im always getting asked questions on how to get something fixed or how to get...
