Re: Dew Point
Thanks, Chris. It got me thinking, but I am not sure how those work. Do they sense the point when condensation forms, which would be the dew point of the sensor temperature, or due they somehow sense the approach of dew point? ----- I need to turn a fan on/off, blowing air through a small enclosure....

Dew Point
I am looking for a transducer, or a method to measure the dew point. Do to the use; I don’t want to use the method of measuring RH and temperature, and then using look-up tables or computation. Needs to be low power, simple, and inexpensive. Anything available, or any ideas? Thanks

Re: D. Recorder,
Miguel, thanks, but I guess I don’t totally follow you. If I record on my computer system, it sounds like I would then have to move it to the player somehow. What I am looking for, is a small recorder/playback system. Maybe that is what you have in mind, and I just am not familiar enough, with avail...

Re: 3X4 Keypad and NTE1690 DTMF Encoder
It has been a long time, but as I remember when I was working with telephone key pads, they were available wired both ways. Some connected the R & C together, while other types had a common line that connected to R & C.

D. Recorder,
I have a need for a digital recorder. I want several short (4 to 35 sec.) recordings that can be selected at random. I need to be able to push one of several buttons, and have that selection only, play. The selection button can be either on the recorder, or remotely wired. Anybody ever do this, or h...

PWM controllers
I need PWM control for a motor, (up to 36V, 65A) continuous use. I want to use an analog signal for control, very basic with no ramp ups, down, direction control, etc. -- I planned on building it myself, however I now understand there are commercial ones available at very reasonable pricing. Looking...

Sound Recording Chip
I want to record several short sound bits (up to about 30 seconds) and be able to selectively play them back. What are some of the best ways of doing this? Where is a good place to get the sound chips? Pricing information? Etc. Thanks

Drill Bits
Help refresh my mind, guys. I know I have seen small drill bits (PC board hole sizes) someplace, but now I can’t find them. I think they were in one of the surplus catalogs. Where do you get your best buys? Thanks

Re: Al Williams, Book
Thanks to both of you. If you think the question is dumb, then I am the really dumb one, because I have no idea. Reading the reply from Mike, it must be CD-R, because it is green. I bought this system in Feb. of ’02. Other than that I don’t know what it can or cannot read. I have never had problems ...

Al Williams, Book
I bought the book, "Build Your Own Printed Circuit Board", by Al Williams. When I try to load the CD that came with the book, nothing happens. I go to the CD drive, and it says it can’t find it. Never had this problem before. Put in another CD, and it came up OK. Apparently my system is OK...

DIY circuit boards
Please bear with me, but after reading a lot on different board design software, and methods, I am still not sure what would be the best way for me to go. I want to be able to lay out small, single and double-sided boards. I want to be able to make my own boards for testing, or where one or two are ...
