uln2803
Thanks for posting, the information is really helpfull and I will certainly use it when I get down to figuring the circuit requirements. I've spent so much time learning about logic circuits and know they usually need a regulated supply. So, since I'm using a regulated 5 volts on the input side of t...

led indicator circuits
I would like to use a bicolor led in the electronic control panel for a fireworks display. I would like to have the show start with an array of green leds, that would then change to red after each firework was shot. The fireworks will be ignited using a short segment of nichrome wire, and if possibl...

dumb uln2803 question
I am working on a project that will drive 24 volt DC relay coils with logic signals using a ULN 2803 darlington array. My question is, does the 24 volts that is being "sinked" by the chip have to be from a regulated power supply or can I simply use the 24 volts from my battery pack hooked ...

laptop screen connector
I want to hang the screen from a laptop from the bottom of a cabinet with the body of the laptop about 12" above it. Can this be done by simply putting a longer ribbon cable between the screen and the laptop or will there be problems with the added length of cable? The (Dell) screen I have has ...

connector
Are you using the connector in salt or fresh water? A friend of mine made a trolling motor for his pirogue out of a starter motor. He made no effort to seal it at all from the water, but only used it in the fresh water swamps of Louisiana. Worked just great!

tens units
TENS units, Trans- cutaneous Electric Nerve Stimulators, work by applying a small electrical "shock" to the areas with the stick on electrodes. It seems that pain stimulae are sent by the peripheral nerve endings to a synapse (nerve connection) at the spinal cord level, where the signal is...

power mosfet question
I plan to use some power mosfets as simple switches and haven't had much experience with them. My application will have a 2 dimensional grid of large high power AND gates made with the mosfets, that will require the each mosfet to stay in the on state for several minutes, and during this time there ...

infrared thermometer
I have looked at a lot of sites but haven't found a circuit diagram for an infrared thermometer. I have found a bunch of them already made for from 35.00 300.00 depending on range and quality. Does any one out there think one could be made for less money and even if not, can you direct me to a link ...

Try www.computerchristmas.com. They have lots of good info on light control, synchronizing lights to music etc. You could also make a grid of relays or mosfet transistors 16 X 16 which would individually control 256 lights with a 32 bit wide output. or a narrower output using serialzed outputs and s...

Hey, this is the 2nd generation mollercraft, the first one looked like a flying saucer and had 8 engines with a hydrogen peroxide backup. that was in 1982, and I sent for literature and was told they would be available soon. I was 30 then and was on the way to a pilots license and had visions of tra...
