Hi,
What pixel density are we talking about here? What are you planning to display, text, graphic or just light effects? Is the 1.5" x 24" the max dimension of the module or the size of the display area? What thickness are we talking about?
Why does it need to be LCD?

Hi JPK,
Oki used to have/has a chip called MSM6322, a pitch control chip for changing realtime speech +/- one octave in 17 steps. Here is the datasheet: http://pdf1.alldatasheet.co.kr/datashee ... M6322.html
This is a stand alone solution.

Isn't this what we call experience? It's never wise to only look at, and base your life on headlines, wherever you see it. I've seen 'engineers' select critical components from shortforms alone, with interesting results like magic smoke and bad air. Shortforms and max ratings are only used to sort o...

Hi All, 1 Top Silkscreen 2 Top Solder Mask 3 Top Copper layer 1 4 Bottom Copper Layer 5 Bottom Solder mask 6 Bottom Silkscreen I don't know if you are into SMD, but if you are, you need to make room for paste mask(s) and placement files. I use an old version of Eagle and I have no problems generati...

Hi I receive my volume normally between the 20th and the 27th each month. It's a bit late, but I'm at the top of the world, and thats a problem in some cases. :) I also get my online issue when everybody else get it, so I'm not that bad off. I don't know the transit time for abroad, but I think I'm ...

Hi Dacflyer, The AC is a cmos buffer with little input current, the LS is a low power TTL(TransistorTransistorLogic) and draws current on the input. They have both a voltage limit on the output equal to Vcc(5V). If you use a led display with a forward voltage of >=4V you can use this buffer on a 9V ...

Hi Everybody, Here, I'm away for a short week and all is changed. I even find that several of the nicks have changed too. Is this a must or just to look fancy in the new format? :? Well, I like the possibility to post pictures and drawings  The rest is ok, takes some time getting used t...

Enclosure design links
I've tried to find a site with design examples(drawings/pictures) of enclosures with a panel interface. The panel contains LEDs, LCD and a keyboard/button matrix. I'm in the process of making a feasibilty study of a future product, and need some ideas/ solution input for designing the 'ultimate lowc...

Re: Help ! I am stuck on stupid today..
Hi Dacflyer, I've checked for cmos versions of the 7407, and there are several types you could have used if you use 5-6V as supply voltage. I seem to remember that you use 9V, and that is too high for these parts. If you could reduce the LED voltage to 5V, ther is no problem to get cmos replacements...
