Re: Why is there no way to contact the Administrator?
Yes exactly. I've been spoiled using Facebook. I've uploaded over a 100 videos and hundreds of pictures there. I've been semi-retired for a while now and I've spent the last 11 months working on a project that's been a lot of fun. I'd like to share that out here. Some of this project, I believe, may...

Re: Why is there no way to contact the Administrator?
Finally got to talk to the administrator. He said they'd be working on a solution to the photo upload problem. Vern, the reason you didn't get the PM is because I sent it via PM on Facebook, but I already removed it when the administrator(Sean) here contacted me. In the meantime I'm going to use lin...

Why is there no way to contact the Administrator?
Why is there no way to contact the Administrator. I've had problems almost as soon as I got back in the forum and can't find anyway to contact someone about the issues. The last issue I had was about a photo that disappeared in my hot glue project. I tried to upload another one several times, but go...

Re: Experimenting with Hot Glue..
I've tried to repost the pictures since they seem to have disappeared. I just get an error. I'll try again. Nope I get this message: "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached." Too bad, I also had the conclusion to those experiments. I clicked on the image in my last post and it ...

Re: hot glue
My first experiment with hot glue was using a small plastic cap for a form. I used petroleum jelly to line the inside of the cap to prevent the hot glue from sticking. After filling the cap with hot glue, I placed 3 LEDs (Red, White & Blue) inside before the glue hardened. This is what it looke...

Re: To evaluate performance of used 18650 cells...
You can find many tests and setups for the capacity tester on youtube. The load is connected to the outer terminals and the battery under test is connected to the inner terminals. It'll test pretty much any battery up to 10Ah.

Re: To evaluate performance of used 18650 cells...
Last year I spent a lot of time learning about battery capacities because of my current Solar Light projects that I've been working on. I think you'll find that many of the new batteries are worse than your old ones or down right fake. I learned that the hard way by purchasing batteries that later t...

I like Tayda. I've ordered a few items from them on Ebay. They've been well packaged and the items were excellent and well marked.

Re: A Simple but Accurate Constant Current Source
No I didn't. Like I said in the post, I used resistors in my rather large collection and kept calculating the parallel equivalent, then measuring each one with a good DMM to get the exact resistance I needed. Since I will only be using it in the same lab at my home, I didn't have to worry about temp...
