Re: Capacitance detection....HELP PLEASE
wet and dry thermistor or a drying thermistor exibit a resistance differential. The pressure caused by mass of liquid could be measured. a light focused could be deflected or decreased. sound or frequency in a cavity changes with volume. isotopic load could beam through a glass side pipe.

Re: Electronic Design For Dummies
I like to think of the magnetic field like a balloon expanding and contracting very quickly. <p>The frequency remains constant until metal object is introduced . The metal object changes the balance of a simple RF tank circuit and the frequency is thrown off. Radio designers use the term "hand ...

Re: Need ideas for school project
how about interfacing a 24 bit A/D
The project measures voltage to 6 1/2 places but the LCD display shows 5 1/2 digits accurately.

I can send you a few basic photo diode cicuits send email.
also when a thermistor gets wet and the op-amp with a Vref will goes low on the output.

Re: Heavey Iorn Milling Machine
I would guess that upscaling a sherline cnc kit to drive big steppers with brakes would have the documentation, software support and others that custom build mods but I have'nt personally done that. Later there should be some linux ware available no doubt sherline ready. There are alot of cnc s out ...

Re: animal tracking transmitter
There are alot of small qrp designs that run efficiently on batteries for extended periods. The late W1FB Doug Demaw was fond of building little transmitters and good at explaining how and why different components are preferred for RF His interest in the subject shows in his writing and for some who...

Re: diode
When photons react on a pin diode they are waves, lets call them an AC signal. You can adjust the threshold of a diode so that it approaches zero by adding enough DC to decrease the barrier of the junction. In a composite ac(signal)/dc you could concider it amplification. At a given input sometimes ...
