Re: sources for television schematics?

Most decent public libraries have an archive
of Sam's Photofact Manuals. You might give the
reference desk a call.

Re: 11.5Vdc / 12Vdc to 12.5Vdc/13Vdc

Hi there,
The bad news is that transformers only work with AC voltages. <p>The good news is that there
are a great bunch of people on this board who can offer some excellent suggestions. I'll try to get
back to you with more advice soon.
Okay group - - run with it.

Re: electronic jobs for people with disabilities

Hacklesup, Your job sounds exactly like mine! Other than running two flights of stairs to get down to the machine shop mill, drill, or beltsand, on occasion, I can spend most of my days rolling around the lab in my chair. I wonder now how we got anything done before the web. Almost all datasheets, s...

Re: AMSAT-ECHO: Really useable from an HT?

I'm not sure, but it can't hurt to try with
a whip. For those who are interested, the
analog downlink is on 435.225 Mhz and the
uplink is 145.920 Mhz with a 67 Hz PL tone.
New designation for the sat is AO-51.
Good luck,

Re: AMSAT-ECHO: Really useable from an HT?

By the way,
I forgot to mention that the contacts by packet
were made with a 5 Watt Handi-Talkie... But I had an
outside directional antenna. Hope that clears
things up a little.

Re: AMSAT-ECHO: Really useable from an HT?

Yup, It's the real deal. Years ago my computer talked to the MIR space station's computer (via packet). I contacted one of the Shuttle missions as well via packet. I heard them on voice once with my handheld, but couldn't get through to them. You'll want Traksat, or similar tracking program to know ...

Re: Help with animation

perfectbite, Hong Kong Phooey <sp?> was a cartoon crime-fighting dog on TV back in the 70's. All of the Gyrocopters I am aware of have a propeller in the rear to provide forward momentum. The top rotor spins freely and provides lift. They must take off and land much like an airplane, and cannot hove...

Re: Need help creating cellphone mute

My-P71,
Wouldn't you need a latch circuit as well?
Otherwise I would expect the mute to only happen
intermittently with the ringing/flashing. Some
sort of reset switch would be required as well.
That's if I understand the thread correctly.
