Re: CSI - N&V
I was looking for it but missed it completely. I was expecting it to be more obvious such as one of the actors holding it his/hers hands or making quick reference to it.

Re: data sheets
Crowbar, thanks for mentioning the web site, I found it to be useful just now. I was looking for a high voltage diode (10K v) for an air filter application and I spent the last few days trying to source one.

Re: Getting started programming microcontrollers
I started to get into this area myself late last year. I found two text books to be very good - they are; Projects with Microcontroller Basic Stamps by Al Williams and Programming and Customizing The Basic Stamp Computer by Scott Edwards. Also I found the Parallax site to be very good and has a lot ...

LCD Display Connection?
The other day while repairing a metronome, I noticed that the LCD display was connected to the PC board via flexable sponge like strip material. It was grey on both sides and ablack strip in the middle. It was positioned between the LCD glass and several contact points on the PCB. I am wonder what i...

Re: Question About "Old Fashioned" VHF/UHF/FM Ante
I had a similiar situation with my parent. I purchased a hgih gain antenna just as you mentioned. I mounted on a 40 foot tower along with a rotor. Instead of a wireless type it was wired to a set mounted control box. I never used a video amplifer. When I experimented with a video amplifer the signal...

Re: CGI on low voltages
I should have realized and not made an assumption in my previous note. Basically with the use of an isolation transformer you in fact removed any reference to ground. I set up a test circuit using a 9 volt isolation transform that was connected to a bridge rectifier and filtering circuit. I found no...

Re: CGI on low voltages
I agree with the use of an isolated drop down transformer and some rectification to provide 12vDC to a water proof light fixture. But if I connect another lamp (a test lamp)to one side of the 12vdc line and the other end of the test lamp to a ground rod would expect the test lamp to light showing so...

Re: CGI on low voltages
If the 12 volt load was an under ground light for a pond, I want to remove any possibility of preventing any current leakage.

CGI on low voltages
Here is an interesting situation that I am looking for any comments and suggestions. I understand that a GFCI receptical works by using a summing toroid. That is, the toroid sums the current in both wires (hot & neutral) and any difference in current will generate a voltage that will cause the G...
