If so could you possibly scan it and send a PDF copy. If so please advise. Thanks. Found some data project can ...

Re: Toroidal Transformers in Canada?

Are you still looking for toroid transformers in Canada. I found my Hammond mfg. electronic transformer cat.5C-88. Page 10 lists their toroid transformers, several units will meet your requirements. All are dual primary and secondary units, those with your current requirements are open (not potted),...

Re: Current limits for printed circuit board traces

PCB trace width rule of thumb, 1/16", 1oz., 5 Amp., 20 degree C rise.
Double for 2 oz.
Half for 1/2 oz.

Re: 24V DC to 3 phase...

For 3 phase from 24V d.c.
Look into brushless D.C. motor controls used in hobby applications.
They are available in many sizes.
Usually only fractional H.P. at 24 volts but are 3phase.
Hope this helps.

Re: Winding a Toroidal Ferrite Core

Wire sizing for transformers! What type of service will it be used for? Amps per circular mil, your choice. AWG, 10 gauge wire =10,000 circular mil. As you move higher in gauge E.G. to 13 gauge = 5,000 circular mil. For every 3 change in gauge divide circular mil by 2 or multiply by 2. Depends on if...

Re: CA3140 substitute question

Why use a sub when you can still get the real thing;
I have recently purchased Ca3140 OP AMP's at less than $1 U.S.
Try Bgmicro or SMC. They are both on the internet.
Hope this helps.

Re: GEIGER MULLER TUBES, WHERE DO I FIND ONE THESE DAY

I found an article for a radiation counter in an older issue of Electronics, Published by McGrawhill. It was in the Designers casebook section. Sorry I didn't set it aside. It used a modified PhotoPINdiode specified as large area. The main mod was to replace the window with an aluminum window. It wa...

Re: PCB Layout Software

The price was right for Eagle PCB software. It is available as freeware. Although limited to board size and only two layers. It works for me. It does have a fairly steep learning curve. Most PCB software does! It produces great positive artworks. There are many small tricks to achieve good results t...

Re: Tube Data

Thanks for the encouragement. I found a site that lists the CRT for EICO model 430 which may be the generic number 3DEP1. I would like to find the data for same. I have good article to build a portable scope. Hope someone has the data. Bygar

RE: LM5311 clock chip I still have 2 one has suffix "N " the other has suffix "D" I bought them new never used them. I used LM5314 in several clocks I designed. I won't give them away but for a reasonable price you can get me to part with one. Bygar

Re: Toroidal Transformers in Canada?

Try almost any electical or electronic distributor in Canada.
Most handle Hammond transformers. If unable to find 50Volt center tapped
units try 48 volt center tapped.

PCB trace widths 1. Rule of thumb with 1oz. copper 1/16" trace at 5 amps will give 20 degree C. temperature rise, adjust width/thickness to suit. 2. Overlay solder and or wire to increase current capacity,. Bygar

Re: 3 Phase 110 VAC 1/4 horse power motor

Interesting but not impossible. A. Radio control model use 3 phase brushless D.C. motors some use upwards of 60 volts, use one these controllers would probably work. B. Machine tool suppliers often use 3 phase motors, some use rotary converters, others especially small H.P. use solid state converter...

Re: GEIGER MULLER TUBES, WHERE DO I FIND ONE THESE DAY

 I vaguely remember an article that used a neon lamp I.E. Ne2 as a detector. To improve sensitivity you can use diamond sanding or grinding powder to thin the wall of the neon lamp. Which will improve sensitivity. Hope this helps. Bygar
