HV SMPS design
Has anyone seen a schematic or chipset that can accomplish an SMPS power supply with +/- 140V DC, 250mA? (and Universal AC input). Most designs top out at 36V or perhaps 48V. Were still using a linear supply here and even if I could put an AC universal 110V/220V auto selector in front of it that wou...

you've been looking for that a long time, nice find. I've been forced into Ali a few times recently for things I used to get elsewhere too.

Re: Noisy Stepper Motor
Does the output shaft move smoothly. In my experience, this noise has been gear teeth breaking off a drive gear. eventually the shaft may lock up. It could be a quality issue or maybe you are asking it to provide too much torque and have forced it into mechanical failure. Its not clear from the imag...

Re: Internet radio question.
A phone or tablet and bluetooth speaker is the most natural choice today, but you can also find this feature built into home theater Audio Amplifiers and Blue ray players and even Google and Fire TV via installed apps. Smart speakers support this too though you may need to speak the name of the stat...

Re: How useful to take Chemistry Assignment Help?
Hmm, the DMHO can cause deoxygenation if applied over the face for too long
Also helps to not indulge in organic chemistry prior to applying chemistry in class for safety sake.

Re: Confused college student
Are you working with Designers, at a FAB or at an assembly house or in off shore sales? What are you confused about? Certainly you can learn a lot about the technology and tool sets from various websites but the in house processes you will need to get OTJ. Growing opportunities as China fab industry...

true enough, I looked at many of his past posts and all have a link going through this suspicious looking website but at least the topics seems to be relevant and the posts are not incoherent. www (dot) voidapovoidgevoidewevoidb (dot) net which is not searchable by search engines implying it is a da...

Re: Looking for an adhesive to use on Neo-Magnets on Hub Motor
Hard to say exactly but it seems like you have two paths at least. One is a semi flexible thick adhesive like gorilla glue or an epoxy suitable for both surfaces like JB weld or similar metal capable repair epoxy. Either should fil gaps, the flexible one might hold up to thermal stress better.

so you are saying 18653 would be closer to reality?, that's more than a tenth of an inch. I suppose a new battery box is not in the budget.

Yes, I use their videos all the time to get a preview of how to disassemble cell phones and replace screens etc. Cuts down on trial and error.
I guess they have an answers forum but their topics aren't as broad as what they are/were here, they seem to do a better job at filtering spam at least

Re: BS170 Transistor
Probably shorted the Drain to Source. If so then there is probably current leakage into the gate since that often damages the gate oxide. you could have blown the gate by ESD zap or damaged the channel from overcurrent, its only rated to 500mA continuous and LED in strings can often need more than t...

Re: Cutting a brass nut?
Have you considered grinding the face of the nut on a belt sander until it is thin enough, brass is not too hard, it might take some time but you'll get a nice flat surface. Maybe a bench grinder will go faster. Slicing the nut into two nuts without a low speed diamond saw sounds messy Sounds Custom...

Re: LCD and Gyroscope
None of these formats are inherently 3D, you will need some kind of code module to interpret a 3D format. 3D PDF and STEP are portable formats but big and needs lots of code to support them but then there are formats also supported by windows 10 Paint3D which may be better supported for what you are...

Re: Smart Home based on Raspberry Pi
That's cool (pun intended), Can you tell us more about the hardware you paired with the R-Pi? Did you interface your own temp sensors or did you interface directly to the refrigerator control board somehow? What is the second image showing, what do the colored bars represent? is it the duration stor...

Re: New Step Up Transformer
If the current is low, generally yes, a transformer primary and secondary can usually be exchanged but in practice the wire gauge of either winding is what sets the maximum current so you could still overstress it when stepping down and the output current is higher than the input current. Applying a...
