Re: 12v DC - 9v DC

I believe you can solve your problem with a five watt 1k pot. Insert it in series with the battery terminals of the stun gun and the car battery and with the pot at it's maximum resistance turn it down till you read 9 volts across the gun's battery terminals.Than read the resistance with an ohmmeter...

Re: how to build a 24GHz transmitter?

I'm not sure about those frequencies, but there were a number of transmitters designed for that function they may still lurking around in a classified in an electreonics or car nut magizine out there.

Re: 120 volt, 15,000 watt dc generator conversion

I would most certianly insert a fuse in series with the output.Thrs probably a 150 or so amp fuse there somewhere i'd get a 10 amp fuse and maybe a old dryer element for load testing. One thing you may find is a warm up circut that limits the engines rpm till it warms up.If that's so, you may not get...

Re: 120 volt, 15,000 watt dc generator conversion

crank that thing up and put a meter on it.You don't have to use all the current it can produce and 200 a 100 volt diode packs are not that expensive,If nothing else you can use it to make hot water while doing your wash.

Re: 120 volt, 15,000 watt dc generator conversion

wow that's a neat find. You should be able to get that thing to produce most any voltage you want to by varying the amount of power applied to the field winding. You will have to find the connections to the field and check the volts there.I suspect it to be the same as the output. To lower the output l...

Re: Electromagnetic Information ....

hi again the only thing an electromagnet will repel is a magnet that is of the opposite polarity or something that magnet is attached to.I think an article appeared in an old popular electronics or science and mechanics magazine i came across about making an electromagnet for non-frrrous metals. It s...

Re: Can you built this for me?

I'd use a 556 timer. One side can be a one shot and the other a monostable that is fed into mosfet in series with a 9 volt battery and the secondary of a 120 to 12v transformer good for 50 or so ma.Run it at about 60cps

Re: Electromagnetic Information ....

are you trying to make a 12vto 50kv transformer or a magnet? The amont of power (joules wattever) you extract from a transformer is how much you put in - efficiency losses. How much time do you want to maintain how much power? that will give you an idea of how big everything must be.

Re: How to 6VDC to 12VDC (antique car)

What you need is a 6 to 12v d.c to dc convertor that can supply at least 3 amps.I'd type that into a seargh engine and go from there there are probabaly a few commercial units out there.
