Re: capacity of a button cell
A cr2032 only has about 210 mAh output. So it does not provide enough power for your application unles you use multiple batteries

Re: Cutting PC Board
On the round board if you could drill a small hole in the center of the circle it would be quite easy. I would cut a square the same size as the circle you need. Then drill a hole at the center. <p>Using a table saw with appropriate blade or a tile saw I would make a jig that would hold a pin the co...

Re: PCB's
I use a couple of different methods for two sided boards. Keep in mind I use mostly the toner tranfer method so registration marks are mostly useless.<p>One method for boards that are not very dense and thus not very critical I carefully cut the board assuring I have a perfect right angle and straig...

Re: PCB's
I should have clarified that mirror statement. Turn on mirroring if using two layer board when doing top layer or top will be backwards. I always get it mixed up becuase some pcb programs show the bottom layer from the bottom and not through the board view like Eagle.(I use about five different PCB ...

Re: Making hydrogen from water & DC
Sorry but the hydrogens are bonded to the oxygen quite strongly. The equation: 2H2O -> 2H2 + O2 <p>The numbers: <p>The bond energy of the H-O bond is 110 kcal. The bond energy of H-H bonds is 103 kcal. The bond energy of the O=O bonds is 116 kcal. The decomposition of 2 molecules of water requires b...

Re: PCB's
Turn off display grid in view options. Make sure in the print setup it is set to black and solid. Use mirror option if doing a toner tranfer. I do not convert my files. I just print them directly from Eagle using print option.

Re: solder past dispensers
I originally had a commercial dispenser system but went to the prefilled paste syringes with a plunger and plastic tip. I found the hand method easier to control than the pressurized system. The auto dispenser systems can make quite a mess if you are not very careful( the manual ones can too for tha...

Re: opinions wanted
Thanks for the replys. Currently I have tens of thousands of electronic components on hand. I will have tens of thousands more before I officially start up. I do currently sell a lot on ebay but limit it to larger items. I am one of the few sellers who do not try to make a profit off of shipping-don...

Re: Conductive pens?
I usually use copper foil to repair the traces. It is available in various widths and can be soldered to the pcb traces to make it very permanent. I would not trust the conductive pens for more than a very fine trace that have been slightly damaged. The foil is what most PCB repair companies use.

I am starting up a new electronics, science, and surplus business and would like some opinions from members here. I will not spam my site here and when fully up and running will instead buy an ad in Nuts and Volt and other publications.<p>I am a long time hobbyist and have professional ties in elect...
