sounds like bad solider joints from heating up and cooling down,, usually around the power resistors..i bet if you jap slap the tv one time it will come back up..check the solider joints.i have had many tv's like that...low temp solider sucks....

Re: X10 Fluorescent light Switch
Naaaaaa ! use the X10 appliance modual..its relay switched so that its on or off... no resistive load needed..no possiblity of dimming tho.. you need a special ballast to dimm flourescent lamps...thats what gets expencive... i use X-10 / Plug & Power moduals for everything almost in my house :D

them dynomos are ac output...and they are sealed,, no way to open them up without destroying them,,, my suggestion is to find you a way to use a dc motor in someway and let the wheel drive it.. besure to use a regulator..as hi speed = hi volts you do not want to fry anything when going down hill..lo...

Re: 100w bulb in 40w max desk lamp
99% of houses have the overhead lights on a dedicated circuit...rarely ever mixed with any outletts , so i have to disagree on that last comment...but if its a lamp plugged into a outlett then maybe... just replace the lamp...its evil...thats why you cannot keep bulbs in it... another thing,,, 99% o...
