Re: Out = Out + In
I may B confused here but I dont think ur code will work! Is 'I' just a single bit of info? if so try the following input sequence + C wot U get 0,1,0,1 I think ull find that the output once toggled will stay in that state reguardless of wether the new input is different 2 the last input. Again I st...

coupling???
Curious about how people connect their electronics to their mechanics, for example how do y'all connect unmachined motor shafts to gear boxes and the like?<p>B)

Re: DC motors on a robot
Unless u want to complicate the electronics of ur "robot" (u really mean remote control car I fink) or have a cable connecting it 2 the mains supply ull find DC motors a much better option. As 2 which DC motor well that depend on the wieght power ting!<p>B)

RMS of a triangle wave???
This is buggin' me coz I have a feeling that the answer is simple. I have an AC triangle wave alternating between +5 and -5 but no time scale (ie no frequency!) given, so what is its RMS value?<p>B)

Re: Joystick controller
There R many hardware devices that will do an analogue to digital convertion for U for example have a look at http://www.microlink.co.uk/adc.html have U thought about using a microcontroller this would make life easy (well it does 4 me anyway :) ) As for directional control how about checking the pr...

Re: Joystick controller
First of all Ive never hear of a 3 axis steppa motor (but that doesnt mean such a thing doesnt exist) U will have 2 use 2 motors, 1 for up and down + another for side 2 side. As for how to do this well U could bye a CCTV setup + place the pumpkin over the camera (easy but mayB pricey mayB not tho I ...

Re: Latch Circuit
hi michael,<p>The missing bit of theory I think U should know about is a device calld a flip flop. In its simplest form U have 2 inputs one to set the output (in your case the laser beam being broken) and another that will reset the ouput (in this case u) once set the output will stay on unil U rese...

Re: Merkle-Korff Motor and Tachometer
Well I would:<p> rectify the signal to get a DC level set up a ramp voltage starting at zero set the clock runnning loop: compare the ramp voltage with signal level if = then take the clock value else loop put clock value into processor look up chart - clock against rpm rest of program.................
