It says "... a 9V AC/DC wall adapter with a standard 2.1 mm barrel plug"!? If I have 9V-800mA, is that a standard wallwart? In the spec it actually says 9V, 500 mA plug-in. Those 300 mA must be really significant if it smoked the 1N4148 that was across the regulator. How do you make 9V, 50...

I would think it would have to do with the programming part of it and what the uC can do for you. It's the dilemma I am facing right now. I consider a tiny uC for small stuff but it might be good to work with the larger uC with lots of I/Os.

what happened to this hackett dud? He had some stuff posted on his site but it is unavailable now?

You may like whatever language but if the MC comes preloaded with a specific language you won’t have much choice but to use what’s available unless you can figure out how to use your favorite MC for your project.

You right about the shipping. It takes planning to put together the necessary components before I can even purchase any of them. It always delays my stuff and everything I am trying to do. Sorry, I missed that point, no I am not committed and so it can be any other. I did try to see if I can find similar but I have not used it for so long I don't really know which ones would fall into that same category. If you know of the other ones I appreciate your help.

This way, I searched google for those chips and most of the sites that would show them would be UK sites! If I went to digikey they would be out of them and several others. I am not making it up !

Well, I did search for them and seemed like no one carries them or are out of them. It was this late evening that I realized nowhere I could see Jameco website, Google just does not return anything from Jameco, the only supplier that has them.

Occasionally the Wins does store the files where I need it them to be BUT it is much simpler if it would store in one place without any right clicking and selecting the directory. It is good for backups and everything else, would that be even more logically correct too?

Actually I found the schematic file the .PNG file, windows has its own way to store files in locations that it believes it should be there instead in that one place where I can find it and sort it by myself. Hopefully I won’t need this one: “icetubev1.brd” and the other.

When I go to their web site the files that they provide are incompatible to anything that I got on my system!? Is it that difficult to provide unusual formats with the design and ...
