Robert

Hi Robert! You know, you don't have to keep positioning yourself in this forum. We all know that you are a professional. You don't have to keep proving it. I have held an electrical license and knew some time ago that you knew what you were talking about. There is no since in responding to someone w...

DPM Modules

Hi B1. I used to experiment with these meters quite a bit a few years ago. I'm not sure if my memory is all that great, but by using a +/- 5v supply and making one of the supplies adjustable, you can affectively remove the DC offset. I've included an equivalent circuit schematic that should give you...

Re: 6v battery indicator

I built a 4 D-cell battery pack to run my digital camera, but I am now using a 6v 7.2Ah lead-acid battery. I am trying to find a simple schematic using LEDs (maybe red-yellow-green?) to display the battery charge status when I press a momentary pushbutton. Any ideas? Thanks.... --- Derek Tombrello ...

Electronic parts site...

I thought I'd give your site a try. I've ordered over $50 worth. You'll probably hate me though, because I ordered 20 each of most of the 1% metal film resistor values. That's a lot of counting! I needed to update my stock a little. I'm looking forward to receiving my order. Eu...

PM-1029A/B DPMs

Hi B1. On the PM-1029B, you can see on the back of the DPM that there are 2 rows of 20 pins. That originally was for the 7107 40 pin dip. The manufacturer kept the PC board, but started to make their own IC (integrated on the PC board.) You'll find in the App notes that the design is the same, but s...

Re: PM-1029B Digital Panel Meter Questions

I bought a PM-1029B Digital Panel Meter from Circuit Specialists and Iam looking for any additional info on using it. The single date sheet that comes with it is not all that informative. I believe that there has been some columns on this and similar DPM's in Nuts & Volts over the past few years. S...
