Re: RANGE FINDER

Google "golf range finder". I saw one for 15 bucks. No reflector required.

Re: diode as a temperature sensor for liquid nitrogen

When looking at that chart: http://www.2genterprises.com/cryo_manual_3.html Keep in mind that diode forward voltage drop is a function of junction area, and varies a lot from unit to unit. Here is a scheme that eliminates that problem: http://www.analog.com/library/analogDialogue/archives/33-04/temp...

Re: FM transmission for 'around the house'

This is a little off topic, because the range of this transmitter is only about 3 meters.
Has anyone tried the Belkin Tunecast? I have a possible application for it (not iPod). They seem to be available for around $25 - $30, depending on which model you get.<p>Ron

Re: Inverting a linear signal

Connect your two electromagnets in series. Connect the other end of the first one to +V, and the other end of the second one to GND. Drive the center point with your control signal. You'll get the desired result, and you don't need any more op amps. Keep in mind that if you disconnect the drive volt...

Re: power supply circuit

Edd, that's a good power supply circuit, but the current limiting doesn't fold back. It simply limits to a constant current whose value is adjustable.
