Re: I've gone mad. npn question.

JPKNHTP, that's nice way to let the magic smoke out of the PNP. You need some base current limiting.
Kam, the collector is not generally used as an input on a transistor. Can you post a schematic of what you are trying to do?

Re: RS-170 Video Amplifier Suggestions Needed

If you decide to stay in baseband, a video equalizer is useful(necessary?), because loss is frequency dependent. I don't know if this particular design has enough adjustment range for your application.

Re: ICL7101 & LM34 temp. meter

I have two remote thermometers with WWV clocks. One projects the outside temperature onto my ceiling in my bedroom. The other projects the time, and the temperature in my garage, onto the ceiling in my bedroom (I watch my garage temp because my un-winterized motorhome is in it). Neither was astronom...

Re: I can't believe someone actually sells these

My first wife started out as a nursing major, switched to art, and did things like setting jars of colored water out in the yard to collect the sun's healthful energy. Then she decided it would be OK...scratch that... better to sleep with anything wearing ...

Note that the subcircuit is called TL431, not LM431. You can change it in the file if you want.
