thanks much for all thew input i decide on the zener voltage setup since im using to different sources one at 5volts an one at 3.3 volts i tie the zener an current limiter resistor to the 5 volt supply using a 3.6 volt zener and the board seems to like the match all worked really well. thanks for al...

im wondering if i could simply just connect a trimmer pot at the port output pins to the module an set the output from the trimmer at just under 3.3 volts(3.1v) to handle any voltage fluctuations from the controller. would this be a good way to lower the voltage.
