Re: Skycool

Maybe I should get busy inventing a
suck-o-meter to measure the pipe's space vacuum consumption. That way it can be readily taxed. You know how politicians are....

Re: Of some interest!

No, this is not a scrap wire stripper. It preps new wire for assembly by precisely cutting to length and stripping the ends. I can also do some limited terminal crimping with another machine.

Re: fading away

Likewise, I stop by every few days, and almost always jump on when I get that email about a new post. Sometimes it seems it's like like building a fire with wet wood. Maybe a flicker or two, a little smoke then it's out!

Re: Energy problem solved!

My power company scolds me because I use more than my neighbors but, they are gone all day so it's low power consumption. Some have oil or propane heat, and we are home all day, all electric, and I run a small business in the basement with an acre of fluorescent lamps. There's no true comparison to ...

Of some interest!

Here's a couple of items that may be of some interest to the dwindling members. I use a CNC router to cut many things, and one project requires cutting etched FR-4 boards into a donut shape. The FR-4 boards produce a lot of fluffy, light weight waste in the process. Aside from just cleaning it all u...

Re: Compressor problem

Is it really stalling or is the internal thermal protector opening the circuit? A continuity test will tell that with a quick test. When the motor and air flow stops, the windings may still smoke for a while so maybe that's what you see. Quite possibly the motor was marginal from the beginning, not ...

Re: How Do you Clean A Deep Fryer?

I am not sure, but I'll bet that the oven cleaner label actually doesn't say to wear a hazmat suit....and that the cautions more realistic. Maybe all that grease is the thing that should be avoided before you need a Drano IV treatment to clear the pipes :???: Did you know that Dihydrogen Monoxide is...

Re: How Do you Clean A Deep Fryer?

By now I guess your family is tired of waiting for their grease fix.
If it were mine I, would use spray oven cleaner and be done with it.
Still concerned?, Call the appliance manufacturer or the oven cleaner company for their sugestions before someone pitches it out the window and gets a new one😂

Easy isn't always easy!

This not a cry for help but a rant out of pure frustration...! I need to sort out 4 wires in a group that are all the same color and there are 48 groups to do. Yah, that's 192 wires to identify. There will be connectors soldered onto the ends so the pins must be 1-1, 2-2.... The wire are all gray an...

Re: Crazy Phone issues here..

All over the country the local telcos, like Verizon have become indifferent to wire maintnance in the expectation that fiber services and cell phones will carry them through. No maintence is planned, overhead lashing betwen poles is rusting and cables are drooping putting stress on the wire. Abandon...

Re: Counter Cunundrum

Thanks JZ, What about something I want to post that is not on the net, but on a local drive? I guess I have to post it online someplace so the forum can find it. It all seems a bit backwards when you can easily attach documents to email. I guess the forum has no mechanism to store the files so it ju...
