Re: TV lacking remote control...

Re: Bud Metal Question!

Can you get the cases unpainted?

Reason I'm thinking, is that you cut and drill your holes first, then give it a coat of paint.
Then assemble the cabinet.
That way you don't have too worry about matching the paint to touching up scratches.

I noticed this too... I have this forum "Bookmarked" in FireFox. So, I don't have to try and navigate the though the home page to get here. But I agree, that since the site went through a "Make over" a few years ago. It seems that T&L Publishing has been trying to degrade these forums, in favo...

Re: What kind of dye is this?

I've used scratch filler products that were a kind of wax and enamel based. Basically a color type crayon that closely matched your cars paint color. Only problem is that with these newer paints, and UV protective coatings on cars now. Getting colors to match, and having the the repair last for any ...

Re: Odd Commercial Products.........

Hmmm.... Yeah, a peltier junction or TEC has a high current draw, plus the cooling side can cause condensation around it. Thus, the water from the condensation, could short out the LED's. No, I was just thinking that the water cooling system could be replaced with something more simple. Perhaps just...

Hmmm............

I wonder if you could substitute peltier junctions for the cooling instead of the water cooling system?

Re: Soldering iron tip woes

I've still got my old HAKKO 926ESD Soldering Iron. It's currently on it's 2nd Soldering Tip. All I do to the tip is; {While Hot} lightly file the Tip, stick it in to flux, wipe on a damp sponge, re-tin the tip with solder. Wipe the tip again on the damp sponge to remove excess solder from the tip. S...

Looks good. :) Only........ It seems strange that the Transit Group was just throwing out perfectly good LED Cross Walk Display Boards. :/ Up here, they only replace the display if there are too many burned out LED's. There are still even some of the old style Bulb Displays around yet. But with the ...
