its impossible to find a light weight deep cycle battery, because of the thicker heiver lead plates in them...<p>and yes you should get many many hrs from a deep cycle battery, using flouescent lights..especially since they use small switching inverters,, like i said before " THIN LITE " makes the b...

hey i built a awsome solar light..super bright, lights up the back yard and its only 65 watts max<p>i am using the new light from Lights of America Model 9266 it will light up 2,580 sq ft.<p>the set up uses a 12 motion detector head, same as the 120 types for floodlighting etc. a 12volt gel-cell bat...

7X3 doesn't tell much is it inches or feet? if its feet, then they can be well worth $50 each,, what a steal you could get... and if they are that big you could run light ac loads providing you have a solar controller / regulator and a inverter and a good deep cycle battery. find out more more info ...

your best bet is to use a deep cycle battery like a marine trolling battery,, wal-mart has them for about 70$<p>also you can spend about 25$ for a flourescent light,,, THIN-LITE ( name brand sells the best ones ) they light a lamp fully the brightest,, i got 2 that i use in my st.wagon,, they are gr...

heres a even better idea,, if you can find a fairly good size computer fan 4-6-8" they are great and use very little power,,and a small 5-10 watt panel..( i found a nice 10 watt panel at Harbor Freight Tools for $19.95 ) and the comp fan ( muffin fan ) you could find at a electronics shop or flea ma...

how does it work ? is there a small coil inside that acts like a transformer? to produce the energy ? anyone got a schmatis of it?<p>i love light and other flashy things..

anyone got any info on these light that attach to cell phone antenna on these new phones.. i looked at some, but they use no batteries, and theres no electrical connection to the antenna mount,, it just screws on the phone,, is RF making it light? they are neat looking red / blue / green / yellow bl...

Hmmm, funny i been dimming neon for many years now, it can be dimmed quite a bit before it actually does extinguish, i have dimmed neon as much as 75% , usually i have a higher rated voltage transformer,than needed ,also the footage of neon is a factor too..too much neon and it will not dim much at ...

i am not just using neon i am using other lights as well , also you say neon doesn't need a transformer...then how do you explain getting 120v steped up to 7.5kv - 15kv then ? i also make neon too, so i am up to par on that, i know they make switching supplies for them too, but still it is a step up...
