also note....fire flies do not blink on/off
they turn on then have a fast fade off
there was a circuit once i saw somewhere,,,this circuit actually mimmicked fire flies really good it even attracted them....

Re: PC Trace & Optoisolator

as far as trace thicknesses...if foil is in doubt..solder some 16GA or 14GA stripped of insulation along the trace path...if not too difficult for you... i have done this many times to repair fried traces in load switches..

i use them a lot on lights or plug in moduals,,,
hope i was of some help..

Re: older power supply problems

i'd have to see more of it to tell you for sure.. but a crowbar is basically a circuit that shorts the output of the supply to save your equiptment from being destroyed...
this could be because of over voltage or ac intruding into the dc...
they have this crowbar in peavy power amps also... so t...

Re: RPM regulation

Hmmm making it sound more complex than i am thinking... i am not a circuit designer...but can follow a made schematic...also a solonoid for throttle control is no good,,rather it be a servo type,, the unit has to be able to maintain the 1800rpms during load demands,,
other small engines have mecha...
