Re: boosting an electric fence

Find a fence charger with the longest mileage on it, usually they go by how many miles they will produce.. you could try and find a ( but not recommended ) a HV transformer, bug zapper transformers have a nice kick to them,,higher voltage, but very little Ma. I used to clear weeds from fences with a...

Re: 18 Volt Sub C NiCd Battery Packs (1.2 x 15)

If it's something small like that ,I might be able to help.
I have a K-Weld battery spot welder.
I have rebuilt a hand full of packs.
shipping to me and back might not make it worth it tho
what exactly is the pack going too ?

Nope, I haven't seen the Lorax.. I don't even know what that is... I don't have cable tv either.. I don't watch it enough to justify the high cost. A buddy of mine lives out on a farm, there's a house out in the middle of the field and it is surrounded by trees. outside of the trees, there is no bre...

Re: looking for a timer

here at my work we use a timer for the school flashers. they can be set to turn on or off, and a 1 second pules. I guess they can be used for school bell ringers as well, it's nice that they have a holiday scheduler as well. but obviously it wouldn't work for your needs.. google ----> school bell ri...

Re: Paralleling circuit breakers

Boy!...Didn't think I'd open such a big can of worms. it was mostly a curiosity question. i figured i knew my answer, but just wanted clarity of it. As far as ANL type fuses, i'm still on the fence about voltage ratings. most say 32Vdc rating, and some say up to 80vdc. I was looking for something i ...

Re: Paralleling circuit breakers

I am still searching for a multi point temp sensor module.. I am using Li-ion pack from BMW. I'll have 6 strings of 14s ( 14s6p) should yield me about 660AH Not sure i'll be able to use them all, but the BMW was a 96s pack,, several 3s, 4s, and 5s packs. What ever i can't use, i'll probably resell, ...

Re: Paralleling circuit breakers

Right... and with my solar project, i want everything to be right..
i'll be fusing the solar input , fuses at the combiner box on the roof and where it is on my wall before it goes into my solar charge controller
and the inverter input will also be fused.
and fuses for each battery string.

Re: Question about Fast adaptive charging

I think if you would have read thru all the post, you'd see that it is not a knock off of anything,, it is something newer than what i am used to, and was trying to understand it more...It actually does what it claims, It was just not compatible with my tablet.

Re: Paralleling circuit breakers

Ya, ok,, i thought so... Ok,, now another question.. I'm looking at some ANL type fuses.. From what I find, they are only good for 32V , but i see the holders are rated for 48V... so how do i find 48V rated fuses ? I'm looking at this for my solar project. Would putting 2 100A in series work ? I wan...

Paralleling circuit breakers

I have seen fuses doubled up to get higher amperage.. mostly used on Inverters and car Amps. is it a must that the paralleled fuses or breakers be same values, or can they be different.. Example if i need a 65A breaker, Can a 50A and 15A be paralleled to make 65A ? same situation with a circuit brea...
