Re: MOSFET

If you use the MOSFET in the linear region plan on a healthy heat sink, they do not like it there..

Re: Finally passed my IMSA Level III bench test ! ! ! ! !

None of that looks familiar. We had individual, external loop detectors for each loop. We also had Conflict Monitors hard wired to the outputs in the event of a 4 way green. Conflict monitor would shut down the controller and go to a mechanical 4 way yellow flasher.

Re: Finally passed my IMSA Level III bench test ! ! ! ! !

Had to go look that one up. Used to work on traffic lights 25 yrs ago, wasn't aware there was a certification for this. I'm sure they are much more complex than they were back then. It's a small town, we had a few Eagle boxes with some sort of plc, and a lot of motorized cam switches.
Congrats!

Re: Phantom Files

Are all versions of the software in the different computers the same version?
Are the file extensions of the "phantom files" the same as the non phantom files?
Right now, that's all I got.....

Re: Altronix 6062 Question

Sounds like you're on the right track. As to the value of the cap, that would depend on the current draw of the timer board, and the amount of time. I would try something in the 1,000 microfarad range first and take it from there.

I wonder if the operating frequency, 50 vs 60 hz , will have any effect on the accuracy..

Re: Wiring issues
Thanks for all the input guys, If a wired system gets unmanageable, I am considering the following.... [b]Using Motorola GMRS radios, lashed up to an amplifier module and a wall baffle speaker. I would connect the amp module to the headset jack and use a line powered adapter instead of...

Re: Wiring issues

We were doing a house rehab once and the alarm people used a RC car to pull wires in tight places under the house.

Re: wireless cameras

Don't know what your area is like, but when we have that problem here the Sheriff's dept will come and put up a game camera or two . They use them in pot patches also. With most brands you don't get real time video you get snapshots, but I hear there's some out now that record video. Check with some...

Re: Constant AC current ?
Thanks, gerty. That does not maintain a constant current if you increase the number of LEDs in series. By the way, in your picture, you can replace the 1N914 with another LED in counterparallel instead of wasting the opportunity to double the light.
With the ac volt...
