Re: Uniden Bearcat 350c help

The place I go to for rf info is http://www.radioreference.com
They have a section (forums) just for Uniden scanners, I also program Motorola and Vertex radios, they have sections for them as well.

This is the closest thing I could find for a price. http://www.gizmag.com/verve2-project-maker/33560/
They had a gofundme account and reached their goal in less than 24 hrs!
For a $120 pledge you can get a "complete" kit. No other info (production date/price) that I could find.

Re: Ear buds and sliding boards

If you watch a school bus pull into a parking lot or turn onto another road that is slightly elevated from the one they're on you should see the chain drag. If you look at the back, bottom of a bus you'll see (on most of them) that the rear tapers up so that it doesn't drag the ground. That's when t...

Re: Automotive Wiring Color Code Question

Carrier Air Conditioning learned a valuable lesson many years ago. What they used to do was buy all yellow wire. They would then send it through an "Inking Machine". That was a series of motorized pulleys that drug the wire around some pulleys that were half submerged in different colored ink. The p...

Re: Ear buds and sliding boards
I see no such chains around here
Where I used to work, before they closed down, Carrier Air Conditioning. We had a million square foot plant, concrete floors, and every fork truck had a chain dragging on the floor. It was usually only about 4 links long. But if it wasn't there and yo...

Re: xp and win7 oddity

I have an old Dell laptop (win 2k) and sometimes the cursor heads up to the top right corner. You can drag it down, but as soon as you lift your finger off the mouse/touchpad it goes back to the top. I use the 'puter for programming 2 way radios exclusively, and it's never been connected to the inte...

Re: Finally passed my IMSA Level III bench test ! ! ! ! !

None of that looks familiar. We had individual, external loop detectors for each loop. We also had Conflict Monitors hard wired to the outputs in the event of a 4 way green. Conflict monitor would shut down the controller and go to a mechanical 4 way yellow flasher.

Re: Finally passed my IMSA Level III bench test ! ! ! ! !

Had to go look that one up. Used to work on traffic lights 25 yrs ago, wasn't aware there was a certification for this. I'm sure they are much more complex than they were back then. It's a small town, we had a few Eagle boxes with some sort of plc, and a lot of motorized cam switches.
Congrats!

Re: Phantom Files

Are all versions of the software in the different computers the same version?
Are the file extensions of the "phantom files" the same as the non phantom files?
Right now, that's all I got.....
